After coming off second best in the marriage equality debate, members of the No Campaign have found themselves a new target.
In 2018 they're saying 'No' to a family favorite: The Golden Gaytime ice cream.
"We are not comfortable with the name of this ice cream. We are not comfortable with this ice cream generally," says the members' spokesperson. "It sends a dangerous message to our kids."
Double Bay Today sought to explain the context of the ice cream's name, by telling the members that 'gay' also means happy, as in, having a happy time.
But the members weren't having it.
"Either way, it sounds creepy."
Our reporters also asked the members why they hadn't attempted to outlaw the ice cream earlier.
"We had bigger fish to fry. Banning the Golden Gaytime would be a small step, but a step in the right direction."
More to come.
