On the hit reality TV show Married At First Sight, Dean Wells' philandering ways are shocking and angering millions of viewers.
He's admitted to cheating on his 'wife' on the show after a steamy affair with a fellow contestant.
Now the 40 year old says he'd be the perfect replacement for Barnaby Joyce.
"Barnaby has served the National Party well over the years," he says. "The electorate can expect something very similar from me."
While Dean Wells hasn't had any political experience, he says he has what it takes to be a politician.
"It's about managing people and managing expectations. The first step is to get a seat within the party, then to win an internal party vote for the leadership. I believe I have the character required to get the numbers."
His announcement comes as a new survey finds 65% of voters think Barnaby Joyce should step down as Nationals Leader following his extramarital affair with a former staffer.
Double Bay Today asked Dean Wells for the scoop on how things ended up on Married At First Sight, but he wasn't forthcoming.
"Keep watching," he told us. "It gets even better. And hopefully you'll soon know me as much more than just a reality TV show contestant."
More to come.
