Girl does status update asking question she could have easily Googled

A Facebook status update left by 24 year old Amy Cooper has caused a stir among her friends.

It read: 'Facebook brains trust: Who is the lead singer of Coldplay? I can't remember his name. Thanking you!'

Within the first two minutes, three people had left the same comment; 'Google it.'

One of her Facebook friends contacted Double Bay Today with the story.

"I'm not sure what she's thinking," says Neil Canley. "She obviously knows she can Google the answer herself without involving other people?"

Neil Canley says Amy Cooper has a history of loneliness and attention seeking behaviour.

"She was obviously bored and looking for social interaction. I bet she knew the name of the Coldplay lead singer the whole time."

Amy Cooper, who also regularly posts inspirational quotes as status updates, declined to comment for this story.

The status update has since been removed.
