Maroubra Man Suddenly Starts Referring To The Roosters As 'We'

A Maroubra man has swiftly jumped onto the Roosters bandwagon, after their 12 - 4 victory over Souths in the NRL tonight.

Nic Hakobah was among the throngs of Roosters fans celebrating loudly outside the stadium.

"We did it," he shouted. "We're in the grand final!"

But several Roosters fans claim Hakobah shouldn't be calling himself a Rooster because he lives in Maroubra.

"He should have been going for Souths if anything," says one irate fan. "Anyone living south of Coogee is kidding themselves if they think they're a Rooster."

Nic Hakobah insists that he is a loyal Roosters supporter and he told Double Bay Today he's looking forward to next weekend's grand final showdown against Melbourne Storm.

"I can't wait!" he says. "It's going to be an expensive Uber ride to watch the game at Easts Leagues in Bondi Junction, but I'm psyched."
