Concerns Ellen DeGeneres Maybe Attempting To Infiltrate Australian Politics

Fresh doubt has been cast over Kerryn Phelps's Wentworth by-election victory.

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) says it’s investigating claims by the Liberal Party that Kerryn Phelps and Ellen Degeneres maybe the same person.

"We highly doubt this to be true," says election official Luke Barsby. "But we are working swiftly to prove the theory false."

It's understood the AEC has requested both women take part in a conference call  this evening at 8pm Sydney time..

"If we have both women on a video call at the same time we can categorically reject the claims," says Luke Barsby. "The integrity of Australian politics is paramount."

A Liberal Party spokesperson told Double Bay Today it maybe too early for Kerryn Phelps to declare victory in the by-election.

"If our theory is correct, Dave Sharma will become the member for Wentworth," says the spokesperson.

"Apart from the obvious resemblance between Phelps and DeGeneres, we know they also share views on a range of issues."
