A local council says it's been "pleasantly surprised" to find a share bike parked fully intact, completely undamaged, standing upright in a safe spot.
"It's a great sign for the future of share bikes in Australia," says Joe Henry from Woollahra Council. "The green bikes appear to be encouraging more considerate useage."
Yesterday afternoon councillor Joe Henry took the photo above and shared it with Double Bay Today
He also checked share bike data to find the last user was Michael Kone, who rode the bike from Rose Bay to Bondi.
"It's actually the first time I've used a share bike," says Mr Kone. "I just thought that's how you were supposed to leave them."
At press time, the share bike manufacturer was not available for comment.
